It’s time for Baa Bahoo aur Baby to bid adieu

After its bull run in the season one when Hats Off launched the second season of Baa Bahoo aur Baby viewer expectation was high. Unfortunately the ratings dropped and one of the reasons this can be attributed to is the weekend positioning of the show. It is now heard that post IPL the show will come to a close.

Informs our source, “The show isn’t faring as per expectations and the TRPs are continuously dipping. Baa Bahoo aur Baby was apparently considered to be a big ticket show which was launched with its second season in the hope that it would strengthen the position of the channel in the weekend viewership. But the show hasn’t been doing well and since most award functions and other events air during weekends it further damages the show. The show might wrap up post IPL. The shoot of the show will conclude sometime in the last week of February.”

“The second season of the show was originally planned as a daily and so the creative unit had worked accordingly on the script but the channel changed its strategy at the last minute and the show was placed in the weekend slot. The show focused on the love track of Baby and Birju but TRPs kept plummeting once the focus shifted from the two leads to the other members of the family. It’s unfortunate that the show is concluding but as they say all good things come to an end. The show would stick to its value and quality and thus Hats Off has planned a positive and logical end to it.”

Benaf Dadachandji, protagonist of the show, rubbished the rumour and said, “Nothing has been informed to us officially. I don’t think the show is winding up and it might run even after IPL.”

Amit Varma aka Birju said, “I am not shooting for the show currently so I would have no clue. Please speak to the production house.”

We sent a text message to producer J D Majethia for a confirmation but he didn’t revert.

Pssst…Shhh…Phir Koi Hai! returns on Star One
Contiloe's Ssshhh. Phir Koi Hai, the Star One shows that wrapped up last year - it was pulled off due to poor ratings -- is all set to return on the channel. The show concluded in August last year and apparently will be now back as Ssshhh 3. In all probability it will go on air in March.

A source informs, "The show was pulled off due to declining TRPs. The main reason was the launch of Balaji Telefilms' Koi Aane Ko Hai, a horror-series on Colors. The channel replaced it with the comedy show Laughter Challenge 5. The production house was in talks with the channel for some time now and has finally got the green signal. There will be some changes in the show during its new season. Earlier, every episode had a new protagonist but now the show will have different episodes but with the same protagonists. Currently the producers are auditioning for the lead faces of the show. It will launch sometime in the first week of March."

We sent a text message to producer Abhimanyu Singh who said, "No comment as
yet."
Yadav gets a new partner in crime; Bhakti Narula enters Jeet Jaayenge Hum
Soon the wicked Yadav (Akhilendra Mishra) will have a new aide in Meethi bua to add to the miseries of Suman (Sana Sheikh) in Jeet Jaayenge Hum. Bhakti Narula, seen as Bhanvri bhauji in Balika Vadhu will play Meethi. And like any other vamp she too will have a signature line - Naam hai Meethi par hoon badi teekhi (My name means sweet but I am actually very spicy) -- every time she will come in the picture.

Informs a source, "Bhakti is playing Meethi bua, a banjaran (gypsy) who Yadav (Akhilendra Mishra), the glass factory owner takes as his sister. Yadav brings her in to bump off Suman. He fears she will testify against him in the court. And so he has got Meethi bua to murder Suman. Her entry is expected to air sometime next week."
Jas Karan at his romantic best…
Jas Karan Singh had a valid reason to go missing from Star One's Miley Jab Hum Tum for few days!! Well, the actor who got married to his girl friend of five years Ashwini Vala on December 25th in a private ceremony, had been to Goa with his pretty wife for their honeymoon.

Talking about his honeymoon experience, Jas told Telly Buzz, "We have just got back from our exciting honeymoon trip in Goa. I resumed shoot for my show Miley Jab Hum Tum yesterday. We were there at Goa for a good eight days. Everything was so beautiful out there".

Ask Jas Karan about his plans for their first Valentines' Day post marriage and he said, "Well, I have just now returned to work. But I can't resist asking for a day's off on February 14th (smiles). I will plan something really big for my wife if I get an off. I will surely present her with loads of gifts. If I don't end up getting an off, I will take her for a nice romantic dinner after my pack up".
Shahrukh at his flirtatious best in COLORS’ Bingo…

Shahrukh Khan, the Badshah of Bollywood is busy these days promoting his upcoming film 'My Name is Khan'. After having rung the bell at Nasdaq with co-star Kajol, Shahrukh then made his way straight to the sets of 'National Bingo Night' with director and friend Karan Johar in tow to hit the Bingo trigger! You can watch the dynamic duo, along with Abhishek Bachchan as they rake up some pretty bucks this Saturday 6th February 2010 at 9 PM only on COLORS.

With who can probably be called the world's most charming superstar Shahrukh present on the sets, it is needless to say that both the host and the studio audience present went into a fine frenzy of anticipatory excitement. National Bingo Night, in order to give Shahrukh and Karan a warm welcome and to highlight their film My Name is Khan, presented the duo with a unique present - all the members of the studio audience were people whose surnames were Khan! So, barring the hosts and one of the guests Karan, everyone's name on the sets was Khan!

Women swoon when Shahrukh sighs, women faint when Shahrukh smiles. His charm has an infectious and potent quality to it that women could fight tooth and nail for. However, on National Bingo Night one person turned out to be luckier than others as Shahrukh lavished his charms on her throughout the show. This person happened to be none other than Bingo Bombshell Rashmi who happened to be the object of Shahrukh's affections for the evening. The actor couldn't tire of flirting with her and complementing her. And Rashmi, of course flattered and completely satiated responded with a healthy pink blush colouring her cheeks everytime Shahrukh looked at her!

While Shahrukh was flirting, Karan was busy playing Bingo with Abhishek. And just as Vidya found her 'Lucky Auntie' last week...Karan found a lucky charm this week - who turned out to be none other than the dishy host Abhishek Bachchan himself! Each time Karan would hit the triger he would hide behind Ahishek before Rashmi could announce if his guess of number on the Bingo ball was right or wrong...and lo and behold...he got lucky each time!

While Shahrukh and Karan had a ball on National Bingo Night, you can be a part of the fun too. Just tune in to National Bingo Night on Saturday 6th February 2010 at 9 Pm on COLORS to check out Shahrukh's attempts at flirting, Karan's lucky strike and the two of them shaking a leg with host Abhishek!
